Egg Challenge — “Let It Be: Protect Life, Protect the Future”

Entry Fee: $5
Prize: Taekwondo Uniform

A Lesson in Life, Responsibility, and Future Growth

In today’s world, children grow fast — sometimes too fast. They face challenges, distractions, emotions, and choices daily. As instructors, parents, and community members, we don’t just want them to be strong in body.
We want them to be strong in mind, steady in heart, and responsible in life.
That is the reason behind our new event:

🥋 The Taekwondo Egg Challenge – Let It Be

Each student receives a fertilized egg — a fragile beginning, a future life waiting to grow into something more. It is small, defenseless, breakable… just like all of us once were. The task is simple but powerful:

Protect the egg. Care for it. Let it live.

If the egg remains safe through the challenge, students earn stamps. If the egg hatches, they receive bonus recognition. The winner receives a Taekwondo uniform — but more importantly, every participant gains something deeper.

🌱 The Meaning Behind “Let It Be”

This project reminds students that life is full of potential — but only if we protect it.
An egg is not just an egg. It is a possible chicken, a future creature, a life waiting for care.

This challenge teaches students to:

  • Hold life gently
  • Act with patience
  • Build responsibility
  • Respect what is fragile
  • Understand how much others protect them

Just as the egg depends on their care, our children depend on guidance to grow into leaders, good friends, and kind members of their community.

Life has potential. Protect it. Let it Be.

🐣 줄탁동시 (Jool–Tak–Dong–Si)

(줄 = Jool / 탁 = Tak / 동 = Dong / 시 = Si)

We also teach one of the most beautiful lessons in Korean philosophy:

A chick can only hatch when two things happen at the same time:

  1. 줄 (Jool) — The chick pecks from inside
  2. 탁 (Tak) — The parent taps from outside

Growth succeeds only when inside effort and outside support meet together.

Students reflect on:

  • Am I giving effort from the inside?
  • Who helps me from the outside?
  • Which actions show my true character?

This challenge helps children understand teamwork, gratitude, and personal strength — not through lecture, but through experience.

🏆 How the Challenge Works

RequirementDetails
ObjectFertilized egg (future life)
MissionProtect, carry, and care for it daily
GoalKeep it safe — or hatch it
RewardStamps, recognition, and winner receives uniform

Students must bring their egg each day, show how they protected it, and receive a stamp for safe condition. Cracked eggs still have value — we learn from challenge, not just success.

Because real growth happens when we try, fail, learn, and try again.

❤️ Why This Matters

This is more than just an activity —
It is training for life.

Through the Egg Challenge, students learn:

✓ Responsibility
✓ Patience
✓ Gratitude
✓ Gentle behavior
✓ Self-awareness
✓ 줄탁동시 (Jool–Tak–Dong–Si)

Some lessons can’t be taught in words.
They must be lived.

And this event gives students the chance to hold life in their hands, just as life once held them.

📢 Follow Our Journey

We invite families, neighbors, and community members to support and watch this project unfold.
Students will be sharing updates — and the story of growth will belong to all of us.

Life has potential.
Protect it.
Let it Be.
